From home base to international player
When Koen and Cristol Broekhuizen founded the company in 1996, they never expected it to become a key player in packaging and decorations for the flower and plant industry. They started in the nursery of their first daughter, bringing industry experience and innovative ideas for sleeves, sheets, and decorations that added value to flowers and plants.
The improvised office soon became too small, and they moved to a professional space with storage at the auction—now Royal FloraHolland—in Aalsmeer, the heart of the trade. Business grew rapidly, and in 2001 they opened their first international office in Miami, followed by several more locations. Koen and Cristol have since handed over daily management but remain actively involved in the company.
